Kenny Smith is the student media adviser for The Samford Crimson and teaches in the journalism and mass communication department at at Samford University.
Kenny has won awards and recognition in print, broadcast and online journalism over the years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, a masters degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Alabama.
He reads biographies, memoirs and history. He travels a lot, takes pictures and rides a bicycle. He is also fond of writing bios in the third person.
