A brief photo essay from USA Today which will likely disabuse a lot of people of their ideas about some of their basic ideas about the poor and unemployed.
There are going to be a lot more of these before the economy recovers. It is good journalism. And note the importance of the cutlines, without which the pictures don’t have much in the way of context.
Photojournalists are reporters, too, not simply photographers who are present.
